Information Collected from Registered Users

“Registered Users” are users that choose to participate more fully on the California Tropic Promotions Site. This higher level of participation includes, but is not limited to, signing up for the California Tropic Promotions mailing list, creating a user account with California Tropic Promotions or otherwise share more detailed personal or payment information with California Tropic Promotions.

California Tropic Promotions registration and payment forms may require users to provide certain types of personally identifiable information. This information may include, but is not limited to, a user’s name, e-mail address, postal address, country of residence, telephone number, year of birth, gender and similar identifying information. Information collected from “Registered Users” is used for purposes of communicating with registered users, including, but not limited to, sending a user occasional e-mail messages from California Tropic Promotions, corresponding with users via email in response to user inquiries, providing services a user may request and otherwise managing a user’s account. Users’ contact information may be shared with other organizations and companies, pre-screened by California Tropic Promotions, who may want to contact Site users. California Tropic Promotions employs reasonable security methods to secure users’ privacy, including, but not limited to, third-party encryption of payment forms, password protected file systems and similar means of protection, designed to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of information under California Tropic Promotion’s control. While California Tropic Promotions takes commercially reasonable security precautions, the Site is not responsible for data breaches of third parties, such as payment processors, web hosts or advertising providers.

 

Voluntary Public Disclosure

 

The California Tropic Promotions Site may include features, such as discussion forums, blog comment forms and related tools that allow users to publicly share information about themselves. Upon notice that California Tropic Promotions has inadvertently collected personally identifiable information from a child under thirteen, California Tropic Promotions will take all reasonable steps to remove such information from its records as quickly as reasonably possible.

 

Transition of Ownership

 

Were California Tropic Promotions to engage in a business transition, such as a merger, acquisition or sale, your personally identifiable information may be among the assets transferred. Users will be notified of any ownership transition via prominent notice on the Site at least thirty (30) days before any such change in ownership or control of your personal information is undertaken.

 

Opt-Out and Modification of Provided Information

 

California Tropic Promotions users may request that their personal information be deleted from Site records by contacting California Tropic Promotions. The Site will remove personally identifiable information from its records for any user that requests removal, provided that the user’s account remains inactive for seven days. Any user whose information is removed from Site records shall thereafter be bound by rules for “All Users,” as provided above, except that information in the public domain will not be deleted from the Site’s records.
